This heavy-duty machine is designed
specically as a reciprocating power carver (RPC) for hard or soft
woods. The
reciprocating handpiece, can move through basswood with lightening
speed. Carving scrolls in hard wood becomes a simple task with
unmatched control. The RPC can be used for long periods of time without
undue overheating. A built in speed controller delivers constant RPM.
Driven by a powerful 110V, 1/4 hp motor, this RPC can be used for long
periods of time without undue overheating. Greater mobility can be
achieved by utilizing the carrying belt for free movement around your
work area. The motor can also be suspended from a motor hanger for
smaller stationary carving. A built-in speed controller delivers
constant RPM. It enhances the carver's mobility by eliminating the need
for a foot control or separate rheostat.
Features:
The flexible shaft is supported at both ends by sealed ball
bearings to reduce friction. An added feature is a drive-pin located in
the end of the flexible shaft, which drives the handpiece. If
overloading occurs, the drive-pin is designed to break instead of the
shaft. The drive-pin (kit includes 50) can be replaced quickly without
the time and expense of replacing a broken shaft.
The innovative mounting system allows for belt mounting, suspension
from a motor hanger, or placement on your workbench with the
stabilizing mounts included in the kit.
The heavy-duty, reciprocating handpiece connects quickly to the shaft
with a positive locking device. It will accept any of the Flexcut SK
range of carving tools, which snap in and out in seconds.

This handpiece fits
the Flexcut RPC SKX100. The 3-jaw chuck will accept rotary tool bits
