Help Identify a Muskoka Area Carver
Posted on November 12th, 2012
Marshall Pyatt is looking for some help in identifying a blind Muskoka area carver active in the 1950's. If you know of or have have any info about who the carver was, please send an email to Marshall. Here is some additional info and a photo of the carving from Marshall:
In the early 1950's my Grandmother bought this carving from a blind man in Medonte (or Muskoka) Ontario. I was young at the time but was amazed that a blind man could visualize and carve a scene he could not see.
Can you identify the artist? I would be very interested in identifying this piece.
Thank you,
Marshall Pyatt
